the contemplation on the beginnings and endings of films

With the use of his title, Jean-François Gratton created his short film in the artistic style of the Memento mori ("remember that you will die" in latin), in which the work is intended as a reminder of human mortality.

Memento Mori

The film is a mysterious contemplation on the ambiguities of the beginnings and endings as well as the subtleties that define the moments where everything changes. Love and ferocity, seduction and repulsion, dependence and egocentrism all have their moment of complexity and their outcome in front of the lens. 

The brutality and the musicality of the heart are delivered by images of great beauty with a touching point of view on human relationships.
